Lawrence Morgenstern – Head Writer

A professional working comic for over twenty years, Lawrence has appeared at The CBC Winnipeg Comedy Festival and Montreal's Just For Laughs International Comedy Festival. Lawrence has also acted in several television shows in Canada over the past decade. His most recent stint was in Punched Up, the new comedy/realty show for The Comedy Network, where he not only acted in but helped improvise the pilot.

In 2006 he co-hosted Mike Bullard Uncensored on XM radio and was the creative producer of House Capades, a real estate based show.

As a Writer, Lawrence has contributed material to Saturday Night Live and This Hour has 22 minutes. He was a Head Writer for a Just For Laughs Comedy Festival Gala. From 1997 to 2004 Lawrence was the head writer for Open Mike with Mike Bullard on CTV and The Mike Bullard Show on Global. Lawrence is a Gemini Award winning Writer (Open Mike) with two additional nominations.

 

Ellen Douglas - Producer

Ellen's work in Marketing has led her to be involved in PR on many levels, most recently she has being actively involved in the Female Eye Film Festival. Her marketing career culminated as the director of the software division at Abitibi Price (now Abitibi Consolidated) where she oversaw the worldwide marketing of Abitrol Software as well as the first websites for companies such as Shaw Cable and Black's Photography. Six short years ago Ellen made the leap from a successful marketing career to film, television and radio.

Ellen's management, writing and producing skills have resulted in many completed on-air projects, including 57 episodes of the still-aired comedy "Out There", a season of "Pet Central", 16 episodes of the incisive interview program "@ Issue" and more. Her work as a Producer, Writer, Director and Actor has been seen on Global, E!, CITY TV, Ichannel, The Pet Network, Omni, OutTV, direct to DVD and other stations. She has booked and written on-air gags for the likes of Tommy Chong, Lou Gossett Jr., Jamie Kennedy, Ron Jeremy, Doug Gilmore and others.
